American rapper Big Sean has released five studio albums, 4 mixtapes, xxx-1 singles (including thirty-seven every bit featured artist), eight promotional singles, and xxx-nine music videos. In 2008, Big Sean was discovered by American rapper and record producer Kanye Due west, who signed Sean to his tape label Good Music—distributed through Def Jam Recordings. Since 2008, after signing a record deal to West's label G.O.O.D. Music, Sean'southward breakthrough career connected through his mixtapes such as Finally Famous Vol. 2: UKnowBigSean (2009) and Finally Famous Vol. 3: Big (2010). While he was releasing these mixtapes, he collaborated on diverse tracks and/or singles from West, Royce da 5'9" and Chris Brown.
On June 28, 2011, Sean released his debut studio anthology, Finally Famous, debuting at number three on the US Billboard 200.[i] The anthology's atomic number 82 unmarried, "My Last" peaked at number xxx on the US Billboard Hot 100 and topped the United states of america Hot Rap Songs chart.[2] [3] The unmarried was certified golden by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).[4] The album's second single, "Marvin & Chardonnay" peaked at number 32 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the Usa Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.[two] [5] Additionally, information technology was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Clan of America (RIAA).[four] The album'south third single, "Dance (A$$)" was released in a remixed class featuring rapper Nicki Minaj. The unmarried peaked at number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, and became certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).[two] [4]
In 2012, he collaborated with artists on several multiple Hot 100 meridian 40 singles, including "Mercy" by W, "My Homies Withal" by Lil Wayne and "As Long as You Dearest Me" by Justin Bieber.[2]
In 2014, Sean released "I Don't Fuck with You", which peaked at number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart; every bit well as being certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Clan of America (RIAA).[4] On February 24, 2015, Big Sean released his best selling anthology, titled Dark Sky Paradise. The anthology received positive reviews and became his starting time studio album to meridian the Billboard 200. Since its release, vi tracks from the album accept charted on the Billboard Hot 100.[6] The album's 2d single, 'Blessings', was certified triple platinum. Throughout the adjacent year, another four tracks from Dark Sky Paradise—"Paradise", "Ane Human being Can Modify the Earth", "I Know" and "Play No Games"—were all certified platinum or college by the Recording Industry Clan of America (RIAA).[vii]
